General

All arrangements are made subject to the following conditions, and on making a booking you are deemed to have accepted these conditions.

The contract shall be between the hirer and the owners of the properties; Luni Holidays acts only as agent. Luni Holidays are responsible for the administration of your booking, but we do this on behalf of the owners.

Prices and conditions

Prices include bed linen, towels and logs for open fires. Gas and electricity is very expensive in Italy and for this reason, the property owners charge up to a 20% supplement between the months of October and April against heating costs. This is added to the final payment.

Where rental periods are for longer than a week, replacement bed linen and towels will be available. For rental periods of more than a fortnight, a cleaner will be provided if required at no extra cost.

Unfortunately, we no longer are able to take online payments using credit/debit cards.

Payments may now only be made by bank transfer* or by cheque.

An initial deposit of 30% is required at the time of booking to guarantee the rental of the property. Final payment, along with the Breakage Deposit and Heating Supplement (if necessary) should be made at least 8 weeks prior to departure. If this payment isn’t made by then, Luniholidays reserves the right to cancel the holiday and to re-book the holiday. The deposit paid by the client will be retained by Luniholidays unless the property is re-let.

Insurance/Cancellation

We strongly advise all guests to take out personal insurance at the time of booking, to include cancellation cover. If a booking is cancelled more than eight weeks before it is due to commence, we will endeavour to re-let but reserve the right to retain your deposit if we are unable to do so. If you cancel less than eight weeks before your visit you will also be liable for the remaining balance of the rental, including the initial deposit, unless we can re-let.

Breakage Deposit

A security deposit of up to 20% (this depends on the property owner’s wishes) is added to the final payment. This will be returned to the client less any deductions for breakages or damage to the property or its contents whilst occupied or used by the client within 21 days of departure from the property.

Share of the Property

Only the client may use the property concerned and the number of people staying at the property must not exceed the number of sleeping places stated in the information provided on the website.

Double Booking

If Luni Holidays becomes aware of double booking a property before the departure date, it will offer the client a choice of an alternative holiday or a refund.

Brochure Information

Any description as to the condition or quality of the property cannot be treated as a statement of fact, but only as an opinion, and Luni Holidays won’t be held liable.

Luni Holidays Liability

Luni Holidays will not be held liable for any accident which may occur, or injury, damage or loss unless caused by Luni Holidays or their employees.

Distances – Mileage

Where distance or mileage is given as a guide, this is done in good faith and does not form part of the contract.

Complaints and problems

Luni Holidays has taken all reasonable care to ensure that the properties are as described and are maintained and equipped to a good standard. All details are given in good faith and are believed to be accurate.

Should you have a problem, please contact the owners of the property as soon as possible.  If you cannot make contact, or you are unhappy with their response, then please contact us (click here) and we will either contact the owners ourselves or our agent in Italy who will then be able to help.

Problems can also be encountered as to the provision of services especially during the high season.   Local authorities may be forced to cut or reduce water and electricity supplies , and water supplies can be affected if there has been a lack of rain during the winter months.  Drains can leave a lot to be desired. Occasionally hot water systems, swimming pools and toilets may need to be repaired and it may take time to find workmen and obtain replacement parts. Please be patient!
